Sunday SnowPLAY! (1.15.12)

Snow day, snow day, we headed outside to play & play!!  The snow started on my birthday (Saturday), although light in the lowlands the mountains got some much needed powder.  Sunday we awoke to 4 inches or so.  The snow was ideal for the creation of a snowman!

Since Evan & I were skiing for my birthday, returning home to Makenna just coming out of the bath, I missed out on my birthday photo with our little monkey.

Makenna on the trail behind our house.  She was an excellent selector of arms, eyes, & buttons for the snowman. 

As we scaled down the bank for snowman limbs Makenna decided that she did indeed love snow.  The taste of snow that is.  She proceeded to eat and eat glove fulls of snow.

Fun with Food

Spaghetti pie has quickly become one of Makenna's new favorite meals.  Watching her eat reminds me of the spaghetti scene from the movie Lady & the Tramp.

Unsure what "food" is before her, if it is in fact food.

NYE Weekend with the Hansen's

To bid our adieus to 2011 we ventured up to Snoqualmie Pass to spend New Year's Eve with the Hansen family at their mountain cabin.  Makenna hadn't been exposed to snow since last year and it was clear that she didn't remember those experiences.  By the end of the weekend she was making snowballs and eating snow by the handful.  As per usual we had a wonderful time with the Hansens.  We drank great drinks, ate great food, enjoyed great company, & made some great memories.
