Flirty Five Month Old

Makenna has entered into her 5th month. Some things remain the same, while other aspects of our little one are changing- too quickly I may add! First off she can barely fit into some of her 3 month wardrobe comfortably, while 6 month garments have a little wiggle room. She is still the life of any party. She loves being around people and even being passed from person to person. Still a lover of music demanding it be on during car & stroller rides. She can roll over now in both direction and from stomach to back and vice versa, however she doesn't roll very often. Tummy time lasts only so long now before she gets quite upset about not being able to crawl. Personally, I think she only wants to jump up and start running. She is still sleeping great at night. Usually asleep by 8-8:15pm and awakes Monday-Friday at 6:15am. This past weekend when left to her own devices she slept until 7:40am two mornings in a row!!! We are very very blessed. Enough with the bragging. Just last night I made my first batch of baby food (carrots, bananas, & avocados). Makenna is still just eating rice cereal, but the rest is soon to come. One thing has not changed since her birth...she is a joy and her smile lights up all that encounter her.

Pre-Thanksgiving Get-together

Nana, Gran, or Grandma Sue- whatever she is called :) - came down for a long weekend with Miss Makenna. It had been a long 6 weeks since her last visit and the change in our little one both physically and her developing personality has been incredible. Makenna was quite smitten with her and was quite fascinated with her scarves, which provided great entertainment.

The entire brood got together over at Grandma DelRae & Grandpa Steve's house for one amazing pre-Thanksgiving dinner in lieu of my mom having to work the holiday.

Grandpa oversees the finger gnawing.

Naked floor time!!

That's the smile I love so much. <3> Our first snow in our new house! Makenna breaking in her snow suit (the turd) before our trip to the mountain house where there is LOTS of SNOW!

To the Mountains...

Attending the Annual Fireman's Auction looking like the cutest little Amish baby with the adorable pink bonnet on. :) Evan just loved it! hahaha...

Our little family at the Fireman's Auction.

A branch of the Hansen Family tree.

The boys with their little girls :)

Our little Firegirl!

Another wonderful time spent with the Hansen family. Makenna made her first of inevitably many trips up to the Hansen's mountain house! So looking forward to future trips up with our friends. Hayden, now 1 year old, was very sweet and interested in the "baby". Those two girls are going to have so much fun together in the coming years. Just seeing the mountain and the new lifts in place got us both excited for the day when Makenna can snap into her own skis! But first Evan has to work on getting me not to roll down the slopes! :)

Well-baby Check-up (4 Months)

Just returned from our doctors appointment. Our little one is in the 75 percentile all across the board! 14 lbs. 11 oz. - WOWZERS! 24 3/4 inches long!!! And a 16.54 inch head circumference. She endured 2 shots and one oral vaccine today and I must say I was quite proud of her. She only cried during and a little after the shots. I scooped her up as soon as I could and she settled right down. Even flashed the nurse a smile and a giggle, making her feel better! She is doing great and the doctor is really happy with her progress!
